Throughout the month of March, Royal Purple, the official synthetic lubricant of Nitto 1320 Legends, sponsored the Royal Purple Rumble.
A variety of racers fought for the lead but only one stayed on top; that racer is Venom. During the final weekend of the Royal Purple Rumble, many racers attempted to overtake Venom. Venom not only kept ahead of the other races, he maintained a very comfortable cushion of points to claim victory.
And now, without further ado, here is Venom...
CTR EK9: Good evening Venom, thank you for giving me some of your time so that I may interview you. For those that may be tuning in for the first time, would you mind telling us your name and a quick description of yourself?
Venom: My name is James...I am full time student and work part time. I like playing videos games and going out to have fun :D
CTR EK9: When and how were you first introduced to Nitto?
Venom: In school, by some friends back in 2002.
CTR EK9: How often do you play Nitto 1320 Legends?
Venom: Depends on the day and how everything is going- ranges from couple of minutes to -3 hours.
CTR EK9: Other than winning this Rumble is there something that you are most proud of accomplishing on your Nitto career?
Venom: I have accomplished everything possible in this game except journalist. Having been modded twice and being a guide. Being in 3rd place in NOS Tournament possibly winning it if I didn’t pass out before last tournament. Winning this tournament makes up for the one I missed.
CTR EK9: Well said! What caught your eye more, the 350Z or the title of Royal Purple Rumble Champ?
Venom: Royal Purple Champion because I didn’t come through as the NOS Champion due to "fatigue".
CTR EK9: Were you more comfortable racing head to head (H2H) or bracket?
Venom: I am more comfortable racing H2H than racing bracket. I cannot keep my reaction times as consistent in bracket as H2H.
CTR EK9: Before entering even a single tournament, who did you think were the top 3 contenders for the 350Z prize car?
Venom: Not to sound cocky but I saw myself winning because I wanted to redeem myself [for the NOS Energy 24 hour Challenge]. I knew taking the H2H wouldn’t be that hard but I had fear in those bracket tournaments because I don’t race bracket. So then, mainly the top bracket racers.
CTR EK9: What was your game plan for the tournament?
Venom: The "plan" would be obvious for H2H: having a no ED (engine damage) setup, and knowing where to let go, for nitrous.
CTR EK9: Do you have any advice for any of our newest users planning on winning big at our next featured event?
Venom: All I know is that you have to be on top of your game in order to win. Have your no ED setups / ratios ready and dials for bracket for all the cars. Racing all the cars give you a better chance to winning instead of being a one car wonder.
CTR EK9: Would you like to give a shout out before we close off this interview?
Venom: I would like to give a shout out to my Team Members and the rest of my friends on Nitto Legends.
On behalf of Nitto 1320 Legends and Royal Purple, I’d like to congratulate you, once more, on a job well done throughout this whole Royal Purple Rumble event. Your effort was astonishing and it has obviously paid off in the end. Everyone can’t wait ‘til next time to see what you can achieve next.
Ladies and Gentlemen, there you have it: Our Royal Purple Rumble Champion, Venom.
This has been CTR EK9, looking forward to the future events to be held and the amazing performance and effort put in by all of you. Remember, without you...there is no Nitto 1320 Legends!
See you on the Strip!
