How To Recognize A Scammer!

As a player and a guide of this game i have seen many players get scammed and taking advantage of simply because of the fact that they did not know better.

The tips im about to share i hope help's people notice and red flag scammers.

Now there is no way to get rid of scammer's and my advice is simply that advice, and tool's to give you a better understanding and feel for scammer's and legit player's.


First of all scammer's prey on people that do not know much about the game, and try to provide knowledge and assurance that they are going to help you with whatever you needed help with.

They will tell you the following:

They can help you with ratios
They will give you free rims
They have a extra body kit
They will give you free graphics
They can add money on your account
They can make your car faster
They can GIVE YOU WHATEVER IT IS YOUR ASKING.

In this case if it feels too good to be true it is. use your better judgement and do not EVER send your car give out your password/email to another user.

So how do you properly spot a scammer? There is no real way, the only way is to use my tips, and if they red flag all of my tell tale signs, avoid this user.

(the only way not to get scammed, is to not put your self in a situation where scamming is a probability)

a Scammer will tell you "read my remarks im legit" sure enough he will have a boat load of remarks saying 1320% LEGIT I SENT MY CAR AND HE GAVE ME FREE THIS. do not buy this. any player can make a unlimited ammount of new accounts and leave own remarks. That is his way to assure you he is "Legit" Almost everytime i hear a person say "i got scammed, they told me to look at there remark's and seen all the legit comment's he had so i belived him" do not be a victim to this scammer method, when i was new i was once scammed and that scammer also told me "look at my remark's" and i fell for it.

The best way to flag a scammer is the following and is very simple. IF HE KEEPS PERSISTING TO HELP YOU! If you said no and he keeps telling you i am telling you "dude" i can help you. Why would a player be so eager to help another player give free stuff? unfortunately not everyone is this nice.

Some players infact have there main names, and make new account's to trick other players, and take advantage of them.

Why do they hide in other names you ask?

Nitto is a big community theres only so many rooms, and for the players that play everyday we see everybody, mostly everyone is friends, no one wants to be known as the "scammer" so they make other account's and prey on newer player's that need help with little experience.

Now not every player is a scammer in this game, i have made very good friends in this game, and would trust them with every car in my garage, however not everyone is out to be your friend.

If a Player has 100 races and 200 Loses and around 2 cars, and little street credit with a few badges, then this player is a scammer, if he steals your stuff, it is no loss to him because that account is infact a noob name, no sleep lost for them, they just stole your car and can simply make a new name.

How to recognize a legit player trying to help you!

Many of us that have played this game for a long time, even people that are not mod's or guide's still are nice enough to help players when they do need it, some vet player's have been playing the game for years, and know everything there is to know about Nitto, usually vet's have no problem in helping or teaching newer players with question's, infact thats why some people got staff position, because of there helping hand and knowledge for Nitto.

Example: Your a newer player and you have a question, do not take advice from another newbie account, scammer's prey upon the weak minded so they can take advantage of you!

Example Below:

If you see a user with 15,000 race's and 10,000 lose's
40k Street Credit
50 Cars +
Alot Of Badges
A Well Known Reputable Team

If this user is willing to give you help and advice listen.

Why do you ask?

more than likely this user has had this name for 4+ years, and has spent hours of time and dedication building his account, and is likely that he has millions of dollar's in cars and in game cash. so the last thing this user is concernd about is your Scion tC.

You have to remind yourself that everybody was once a newbie in this game, and everyone needed help once in a while, that's why some vet user's like my self when they see newer player's with Questions we like to guide them and help them, Nitto can be tough when you first start, its our job as a community to help you to make us a bigger and happier more competitive family.

THE NUMBER ONE WAY TO SPOT A SCAMMER IS THE FOLLOWING!

WHEN A PLAYER HAS SOMETHING TO LOSE! if the user has the account i stated above, it is very unlikely that he is going to scam you, because of all the hard work he put it, scamming is not worth it for him to lose his account.

if a user with 200 street credit 40 wins and 30 loses, and a moded xB scam's you he does not care at all if he get's banned, because that account was no loss, he just scored your car for free, so even if he sells it cheap its 100% profit, that player has nothing to lose but everything to gain from you.


WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU DO NEED HELP!!!!!

If you need help and have a simple question, contact a guide or mod via email or in game chat, these user's have light blue and dark blue colors on there username ,or if you see one in the chat, ask he or she whatever your problem is, our job is to help newer players understand the game and what steps to take to make the game easier and more fun, That is our job.

Is this thread going to make you scam proof? No it is not unfortunately many player's have been scammed, even good friend's of other user's that known eachother for a long time, or well known in the community got scammed, or scammed other player's.

the best way to not get scammed is keep your self away from the situation, unless a guide or a mod, is willing to help you with your problem or car.

if you feel its too good to be true it probally is trust your gut, when i was new i raced for a Ford GT for 4 days straight, i finally got it, and i wanted nothing more then stripes for it, the player promised me stripe's, and like a fool i sent my car, and bam my hard work was gone, i lost a 80k car for stupid stripe's that are worth 3k, if it's not worth losing your car, forget it. but lucky me i had a friend that bought the car back for me, and told me to pay him back when i get it, ( you see not everyone is out to harm or kill you)

Also do not deposit money in team fund's, Often the team leader will tell you we need to build the team blah blah blah brain wash you make you co leader deposit money to make other people join, he will trick you into thinking your his friend, he will take you cash and run off, also if you have your own team with money in it, do not put people you do not trust as co-leader they can take your money and run, Nitto can not get your car back or cash back if it is scammed.

Once again this thread is just to give you a better idea and a feel for scammer's what they say and what they look for in newer player's if you ever have a question with setups, ratios, questions, just email me and ill do my best to answer and help you.
