Default Connection FAQ!

Please refer to the news topic located here for additional help on connecting:

http://nittolegends.com/newsRoom_default.aspx

Connection FAQ:

Are you having issues connecting to Nitto 1320 Legends are having problems once connected in the game? Please try these suggestions:

Is Windows Firewall Settings permitting you from connecting?

Begin by going to your Windows Start button, going up to Settings and then clicking on the Control Panel.

Next, locate the Windows Firewall icon and double click it to open up the Windows Firewall settings.

Once you are into the Windows Firewall settings, you will see a window with three tabs. Click on the Exceptions tab.

After you have clicked on the Exceptions tab, this window will appear. Locate and click on the Add Program... button

This window will pop up where you can Add a Program to your Windows Firewall exceptions. Click on the Browse... button

Now a window browser will appear and please locate where you installed the Nitto 1320 Legends Beta game. In our example it was on our desktop. So we selected the NittoLegendsBeta executable that is on our desktop and click Open.

You will now see that th NittoLegendsBeta has been added to the Windows Firewall exceptions. Ensure that there is a check mark next to the game name and click OK.

Are you unable to connect to the game with a router?

Routers are designed to help ensure the incoming and outgoing connections to your computer are protected. You may need to alter some of these settings to allow access to Nitto 1320 Legends.

Nitto 1320 Legends does not offer direct support for proxies (Internet connection sharing), firewalls, or routers. Our recommendations are to try our suggestions, but to also contact your ISP or network administrator for assistance to connecting. We also recommend making sure your router is up to date with firmware and drivers. Please contact your router manufacturer for assistance on connection issues.

I hear a lot about ports, what port does Nitto 1320 Legends use?

Nitto 1320 Legends does not use any special port to connect to our servers. If you are viewing this website then you should not have to worry about port settings to connect to the Nitto 1320 Legends game. Our software uses the same port settings as Internet HTTP Protocol.

How are ports restricted when using a proxy, firewall, or router?

If you are using a proxy server, firewall or any other Internet connection sharing method, it could restrict certain packets from unknown sources. This can be an IP address that you have never had contact with. Please contact your ISP provider or whoever is in charge of your network to ensure that there are no extra securities in place.

What do I do if I am still having problems connecting using a firewall, router, or proxy?

You can try to reset your router and/or your modem to see if your connection issue is still in place. We recommend first unplugging your modem and then your router if you are using one. Wait a few seconds and plug your modem back in first. Ensure that it is connected then plug in your router. We then recommend renewing your IP address and flushing the DNS Resolver Cache. The steps to do this are the following:

Windows Vista Users: Windows Vista requires that you run the command prompt (DOS shell) in Administrator Mode to perform these functions. To start the DOS shell in admin mode:

1. Go to Start/Programs/Accessories and locate the "Command Prompt" shortcut.

2. Right click Command Prompt shortcut and select "Run as Administrator" from the drop down menu.

3. Continue with the Windows XP/2000/98 directions below at step 2.
Windows XP/2000/98: Release/Renew your IP address and Flush the DNS Resolver Cache:

1. Go to Start then Run and type the word "cmd" (without quotation marks) in the Run box. A DOS window should open on screen.

2. Type: "ipconfig /release" (without quotation marks) in the DOS window.
3. Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been released.
4. Type: "ipconfig /renew" (without quotation marks) in the DOS window.
5. Wait a few seconds for a reply that the IP address has been re-established.
6. Type: "ipconfig /flushdns" (without quotation marks) in the DOS window.
7. Close the DOS window and attempt to make a connection.

I am still unable to connect after trying all these methods, help me!

If you are still having issues connecting after these suggestions, we recommend removing your router out of the equation. Use a direct connection from your modem to your PC and reboot both your modem and your PC. Test the connection. If you are able to connect to the Nitto 1320 Legends game, we recommend contacting your router manufacturer for additional assistance.

[i]Hello there Ichiban

umm.. I am having a problem with the Nitto Game. Every time I log in to the nitto game I always recieve this message.

"You have been disconnected from the game. Please restart the application to continue playing".

I have downloaded it a couple of times and have tried of solutions which people have suggested. These include:

*Re-Download the game
*Shut Down any firewalls
*Check your Internet settings
*Check your Virus settings.
*Also the tips you posted in the news room

Could you please help me because ever since the game was released I've never been able to play it or see a glimpse of it except from the screenshots I've seen.

Thank You for your help

Ok,first delete the old version, then go to nittolegends.com,download the new one,zip the nittolegends and make sure all nitto files are in one place so you dont get a gray screen.Lastly, you login and RACE!!

I was able to login today, but still it was hell of a time to login.

Can someone please tell me what's causing me this kind of error? My internet connection is a 512kbps cable internet. I get connection protocol errors almost everytime I click on something.

Please give me an answer. Thanks
