Post C6 - A Controversial Moderator

Hello Racers,

Today I'm bringing you all a somewhat controversial subject amongst the Nitto 1320 Legend's community. With the recent staff selections, some people were given staff positions and a wildfire began.

One person who has been subject to quite a bit of controversy is the new moderator C6. C6, more popularly known by his real name Trevor, isn't exactly new to Nitto 1320 Legends. Actually, he is a seasoned veteran who also played Nitto Challenge (V1).

Since the staff selections, C6 has been mocked and ridiculed as well as accused of different things. I decided that it might be time to try and get a few words from him. This is what I got at first when I approached him about doing an interview.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

speedjunkie05: I'm going to have an interview with you soon.

C6: Uh oh. What did I do wrong?

speedjunkie05: Oh nothing.

C6: I'd rather not do an interview with a bunch of questions about my prior history. Thanks, though.

speedjunkie05: It's your chance to clear the air.

C6: I don't need to verbally clear the air. Time will tell.

speedjunkie05: Ight. Not a problem.

C6: We can have the interview if you want, but I'm just saying that if it's all questions about bugs and stuff, it's not going to fly.

speedjunkie05: So there's nothing you'd like to say to the people accusing you of bugging cash, cars, etc?

C6: My past involvement has nothing to do with my future on Nitto. What's in the past is staying there, regardless of what people think.

speedjunkie05: Alrighty. Say no more.

C6: The chance to be a mod again was a huge eye opener, and I'm not going to screw it up. Hit me up on Facebook whenever you wanna get this interview done.

speedjunkie05: It was over before it even began.

----------------------------------------

As you can tell, he was quite hesitant and against the idea of an interview. A few minute later, I suppose he came around to the idea and I got this.

----------------------------------------

C6: I was thinking about it, and you're right. It'll be good to get things cleared up. I just don't want the entire interview to be that one topic.

speedjunkie05: Obviously, let's begin. First off, everyone knows that you been staff before. Give me and the readers some more history on that.

C6: Okay, well it all started back in early 2008, I started an interview column called "Nitto Staff: Behind the Scenes" where I would interview Moderators, Administrators, Guides, etc., to help the community know them by more than just an account name. Duck Sause suggested me to BLACK SAMBA, and I was promoted to Journalist. From there, I was active daily, and eventually got promoted to Guide/Mod by early 2009.

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

speedjunkie05: I see. Now, what happened between the account hackR and now C6? What were you doing during that time and why the change in accounts?

C6: I've switched accounts a few times, since then. Mainly due to wanting to build accounts up from scratch, getting tired of accounts, etc. I had a falling out with two admins over something relatively simple, which resulted in hackR getting banned and demodded at the time. I admit that I was in the wrong, but I was a little too argumentative over the situation.

speedjunkie05: So it's safe to say you won't be moving away from C6 anytime soon correct?

C6: Oh, definitely! haha. I love the account, and have no intentions whatsoever of switching!

speedjunkie05: Good. Now, jumping from a regular member straight to the Moderator position isn't exactly unheard of, but it is rare. Do you think there is any reason in particular that the Administrators made that decision?

C6: Honestly, I'm not 100% sure of what made the admins decide what they did. I just answered every question on the staff survey truthfully, and with detail pertaining to what they were asking. I know in the past, myself as well as many others, I'm sure, tend to sugar coat the answers to give the admins what they'd like to read. However, I took a different approach and really voiced my opinion on the current game condition, and what I plan to do to help with the staff.

speedjunkie05: And what are your plans to help?

C6: I simply plan on being the moderator that I wasn't, and should've been years ago. I want to really leave my mark, and set a better example than what I'm known for by most of the community. I plan on staying active, not only in-game, but on the forums as well. I've been taking a lot of questions, and dealing with matters as soon as they arise. Having a positive mind state about the game, and keeping my cool will have a large role in that.

speedjunkie05: What is it that you think that you are known for by the community?

C6: Just overall, by what I've done in the past to contribute negatively to the game. To put it simply, those who know me, know me well haha. Having this second chance to help the game was a huge eye-opener, and I plan on being a completely different person. Any baggage from the past was left at the door, and won't be an ongoing issue into the future, not just because of getting remodded, but because I want some positive change.

speedjunkie05: I see. Well, I wish you the best of luck. Thanks for your time!

C6: Thanks, Billy! And to all of those reading, thanks for your support. gG? y0.

----------------------------------------

As we can read, C6 is fully away of his past mistakes. The fact of the matter is will he be able to prove himself to the community? Some will give him a second chance, and some will not. Only time will tell to see if C6 really has what it takes to earn the love and respect from the community.

And as always...

Thanks for reading!
